4 Hands War Hammer – LIMITED
Crazy fresh, crazy hoppy, crazy good. Columbus Tomahawk Zeus is the primary hop variety in War Hammer as well as the inspiration for the name. We use a combination of Pacific Northwest hops to create layers of pungent flavors. A generous malt bill adds biscuit and honey notes while allowing the hops to take center stage. War Hammer pours golden in color with aromas of pineapple, mango, tangerine, resin, & slight earthy notes. Drink fresh!

It's Friday. Which means new beer. We love Fridays around here.

Feast your eyes on the new beers from Urban Chestnut, Stillwater, and Grand Teton, a new bottle from Freigeist, and some seasonal goodness from Founders and Shiner. Oh, and Crider dropped some fresh LSD off as well. Call for holds. Swing through for grabs.

Urban Chestnut Apotheosis – French Saison

This French-style Saison was first brewed in collaboration with the fine folks at The Royale to celebrate the Feast Day of Louis IX. Named after the statue of St. Louis that sits atop Art Hill, this farmhouse ale is a tribute to our beloved city.

Urban Chestnut Hopfen – Bavarian IPA

A beer we are describing as a ‘Bavarian IPA’. Brewed and dry-hopped with a variety of Hallertau ‘hopfen’… instead of the usual and more citric hop varieties of most American IPA’s… gives this beer a decidedly German twist.

2nd Shift Liquid Spiritual Delight – Imperial Stout

You know it. You love it. We do, too.

Stillwater Contemporary Works collection:

Mono – Dry-Hopped Pilsner

An evolution of the ‘single hop’ phenomenon. While Galaxy is featured on the label, the concept here is to showcase this headliner in it’s greatest form possible, and if you ask me every hop is better when supported by others. So accents of Centennial & Sterling to widen the frequency and crank up the volume of bright tangerine, grapefruit, and fresh grass.

Stereo – IPA

Stillwater IPA?? WTF, right? Well truth be told we love a good IPA just as much as the next guy and besides, what’s more contemporary then a American IPA? The lean base of Pilsner malt with the lightest touch of caramel support this high definition blend of 6 intricately layered hops gathered from around the world. Bright citrus, stone fruit, pine, earth, dank, crisp & fu****g delicious.

Surround – Imperial Oak-Smoked Wheat Stout

Like a sound system that fills the room with audibles swarming in every direction. This massive stout overtakes your senses with aromas & flavor of dark chocolate, caramel, roast, smoke, earth & wood, It’s heavy I know, but you have to drop that bass every once in a while if you really wanna get down.

Grand Teton 5 O’clock Shadow – Black Imperial Lager

We have taken the traditional Schwarzbier, intended to be a “session beer” with typically moderate alcohol, and almost doubled its strength to 7.6% alcohol by volume. We brewed our version with a fine balance of crystal and roasted malts and spiced it with noble hops. We fermented 5 O’Clock Shadow at cold temperatures with a select German lager yeast and cold-conditioned it for over four months to create a velvety smooth, easy drinking springtime brew.

Grand Teton Trout Hop – Black IPA

Trout Hop Black IPA is a spicy and bold American-Style India Black Ale, with notes of fresh pine needles and spruce tips. Brewed with Idaho 2-Row Brewers’ Malt and German specialty malts, this ale has a deep rich color and roasted finish but is not as thick as some malty brews. Hopped with Zeus, Chinook, Galena, and Cascades from Idaho, as well as Simcoes, the resulting bitterness is bold and intense, the aroma piney and zesty.

Freigeist Hoppeditz – Dopplesticke Alt

Named after the traditional burning puppet at Düsseldorf’s Karneval, Hoppeditz is a subtly smoked, extra-hoppy version of the city’s classic “Special Old Ale” style. Though created in rival Cologne, for the world-beer connoisseur it is every bit as enjoyable as the Düsseldorfer stuff.

Founders Old Curmudgeon – Oak-Aged Old Ale brewed with Molasses

This old ale is brewed with molasses and an insane focus on the malt bill, then oak-aged. The result is a strong, rich, malty delight that’s deceptively smooth and drinkable.

Founders Rubaeus – Pure Raspberry Ale

Optimizing the flavor of fresh raspberries added at multiple stages during fermentation, this stunning berry red masterpiece is the perfect balance of sweet and tart. No question about it, with a hefty malt bill and 5.7% ABV, this beer is 100% Founders.

Shiner Prickly Pear

A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape.

Come hang out with the Beer Geeks, try some new beer, and kick the weekend off right. Cheers!

Stone Enjoy By 04.20.15 – Now in 12oz bottles

You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. They’ve gone to extensive lengths to ensure you get your hands on this beer within an extraordinarily short window, and they’ve sent a very clear message in the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right NOW to enjoy this IPA!
